SQUARE subscribes to an economic, cultural and academic boycott of Israel.
The best strategy to end the occupation of the Palestinian Territories is for Israel to become the target of the kind of global movement that put an end to apartheid in South Africa. In the spirit of international solidarity, moral consistency and resistance to injustice and oppression, a huge coalition of Palestinian groups calls for a comprehensive economic, cultural and academic boycott of Israel. Economic sanctions are the most effective tools in the nonviolent arsenal. You can contribute yourself by not buying Jaffa, Carmel and other Israeli food products (barcode 729) at your local supermarket or grocery store.

During the war in Lebanon, summer 2006, SQUARE started this list with messages from the war zone: testimonies from the civilian front line, Arab news updates and links for background, action and protest. The list is still on with (ir)regular updates.
